Holidays

October since the last post, eh? Let’s see what’s changed since then… Not much. Work is winding down, the season slowly finishing. NaNoWriMo didn’t really happen for me, the heaviest workload hit that month and I changed the story at the last moment. (one I really like, though I have no solid plot, ending, or characters for it–still got 10k words done!)
Game-wise, Eve Online is still the main MMO for me. I’ve also gotten back into CoH/V. (just this past week, actually) And an assortment of single-player games like A Vampyre Story, Left 4 Dead (ok, multiplayer for that one, too) and some others.
As the holidays are here, and I’m getting more free time, I think I’ll work on my unfinished NaNo story. The idea behind it is the existence of universes before ours (as in, once the universe has expanded and then collapsed back upon itself, it forms a new universe) and that the stories and dreams we have are not merely fiction or imagination, but the memories of past civilizations and events in history. So, the story has several different stories linked together through this idea, with modern, fantasy, and sci-fi themes playing out. Having a reason to include any type of story/theme possible is great too. Now I just have to decide on any highly advanced civilizations that could figure out a way to survive the end of a universe, and if they would be appropriate to the story. (a writer meeting the very things they “imagined” can always be fun, just hope it’s not too cliche)
